My Story
My life has always been shaped by a deep love for animals and an appreciation for the unique bond they bring into our homes. My journey with Yorkshire Terriers began in 2001 when I welcomed my very first Yorkie — a moment that sparked a passion and dedication that would grow far beyond what I ever imagined.
By 2003, I found myself drawn to the world of conformation showing, where my admiration for the breed deepened through hands-on experience, continued learning, and a growing respect for structure, temperament, and breed integrity. Over time, I came to understand how responsible breeding and showing naturally complement one another, both grounded in preserving and producing sound, well-balanced companions.
With decades of experience, my philosophy has remained simple: quality over quantity. I raise only a small number of intentionally planned litters, allowing me to provide the individualized care, early socialization, and home-centered environment that I believe every puppy deserves.
I am based in Western Colorado, and it has been incredibly rewarding to see puppies I have raised become cherished members of families throughout the United States. Knowing they bring joy, comfort, and companionship into homes near and far is one of the most meaningful parts of what I do.
I stand fully behind every puppy I raise and remain deeply invested in their well-being long after they leave my home. The families who welcome one of my puppies are never viewed as simply buyers, but as extended members of my Little Paw Cottage family. Building lasting relationships and being a continued resource for new puppy parents is a part of this journey that I truly value.
In 2025, after years of admiration and thoughtful research, I welcomed the Biewer Terrier into my home. Their elegance, affectionate nature, and distinctive charm made them a natural extension of my passion for exceptional companion dogs.
